Peculiar People

Liberalization of the church. The church has become more a follower of the culture than God's Word. It seems that theology has been thrown out the window in favor of society's opinion. What Scripture clearly defined as sin has been embraced as permissable. It has gone so far as being accepted as common practice.

I wonder is this a by-product of the demoralization of our society? Our nation has turned it's back on God in the past decade. Moral's have been in a decline ever since. The nation has forgotten God and his Word. A nation founded on his principles has attempted to remove every representation of God from culture.

At some point an err of political correctness has overtaken society and has crept into the church. Let's not offend anyone seems to be the motto. The problem is that no person will ever repent unless they find their personal behavior offensive. How will they ever be offended without a Gospel that condemns sin. That condemns sin not the sinner. That same Gospel should reflect God's love and plan of redemption.

Changes to reflect culture rather than theology promote heretical beliefs. Every position taken by the church should be derived from scripture rather than cultural opinion.

What we have today are churches that preach political correctness in lieu of Scriptural Truth. This results in churches leading congregations into the pits of hell. I realize this thought is offensive however I believe it to be the Truth.

It seems rather than extracting the true message of God's Word Minister's are trying to justify the world's choice through poor hermanutics (Biblical Interpretation). Ministers condemn others for speaking against immorality reflected in the world and politics. Where does Scripture speak against declaring God's Word to the masses? I believe it declares we take his Word to the lost.

It is imperative that believers find a church that adheres to the TRUTH. Verify every teaching with Scripture. Find a church that has a connection with churches of like Faith that teach similar doctrine that aligns with God's Word. A church adhering to God's Truth will be a church that is producing fruit. Scripture states We are a peculiar people, separated from the world. Chose a church that represents God not man.
