Pray Without Ceasing!

I have found that as I remain in an attitude of prayer I feel the Lord's presence with me where ever I might find myself. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells believers to pray "without ceasing" NKJV, "contually" NIV, and "Never stop" NLT. I cannot turn it off nor do I desire too.

Jesus taught us to pray with the Lord's Prayer. Jesus often went away by himself to pray and asked his followers to do likewise. Prayer is an open line of communication to God the father. He will answer our prayers according to his perfect will. Not every answer will be according to our desire. We are reminded in scripture that God's ways are not our ways. He has a plan and will answer prayers according to that plan.

A father does not give his son a stone when the son asks for a loaf of bread. God hears our prayers, one day our eyes will be opened and we will understand how he answered. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. Whatever we ask, let us ask in the name f Jesus. Jesus is the great mediator between us and the father.

Faith Is believing in the unseen, believing that God will meet our need. Jesus said, that faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. I believe our faith grows as the Holy Spirit moves iin our lives. Scripture tells us in Romans 17 faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. If your faith is week begin to read and experience the Holy Spirit come alive in your life.

As faith grows so will your prayer life. You will begin to pray without ceasing. If your faith is strong you will begin to see the Holy spirit working in all things and prayer will naturally flow from your heart. Scripture reveals God and his truth. As God is alive and well working through believers lives we can experience his hand working around us. Testimonies are unending in relation to healing, restoration and even people being raised from the dead. Jesus sid that believers would do even more miracles than he did during his earthly ministry once he ascended to the father.

I urge you to pray without ceasing, remain in a constant attitude of prayer believing that God can do all things according to his will and mercy. As you begin to walk in the Spirit continually you will receive a boldness to share what God is doing in your life which will attract nonbelievers to experience the same. The Gospel of Jesus and his love will radiate from you.
