Are sensational 24/7 News Channels harming our nations political structure? If they are simply reporting the news, then the answer is No! However, these stations all stations are sensationalizes our nations leaders making politics more a popularity spectacle than the forum it was intended by our founding Fathers. When these individuals become more concerned with serving the citizens of this great nation than getting their name mentioned in a headline then the government make progress towards repairing the nation.

These news channels are highlighting and perpetuating hate regardless of the side you take on the issue. The conservative pump the right and the liberals pump the left. If the news did not report on hate 24 hours a day it might, just might take a back seat. When hate groups are legitimized being given endless headlines, they will never stop their divisive tactics.

Not long ago our politicians were able to work together through compromise to bring forth the reforms that benefitted all citizens. Budgets were balanced, and government shutdowns were not even considered. The safety and welfare of our citizens were of utmost concerns. Today special interest groups are placed above the majority, with the majority being neglected and condemned.

I would contend that the information age has done more harm than help. The attempt to get the scoop and relay the truth before the competitor has been replaced with getting the best ratings regardless of confirming the story. Political leaders have been absolved for lying for the good of the nation which has denigrated the portrayal of the truth to society. It reminds me of Nicholson screaming, “You can’t handle the truth!” Can we handle the truth? Do we want the truth?

If people buy into the idea that all news is the truth we will continue in this spiral of decline and hate. We must begin to hold these portrayers of popular news to a higher dictum of the truth. Integrity must once again be the rule.

As you click on to your favorite news station consider if what they are sharing is the truth. Ask if they are spinning the story to cause divisiveness and hate or are, they simply reporting the news devoid of opinion? Why don’t they simply report an issue, i..e. the budget has been passed, without having to state whether they believe the budget is good for the nation or not. I doubt that many citizens require an advisor to interpret the happenings of our nation’s leaders.

You and I must begin to think for ourselves. Re we that ignorant that we require a mediator to guide us? We need a news service that simply report the facts. Unfortunately, the damage has been done and people have become to reliant upon the daily rants of TV News Stars. Politics has become a performance art as they pose for the camera attempting to be the lead story. I foresee no remedy for this issue other than turning off the source demanding an unbiased source for news without the spin and defilement of the right or left.
