(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction

It is our basic human nature to be satisfied. If we are hungry we eat, thirsty we drink you get the idea. We are creatures that enjoy pleasure, pleasure found in being satisfied. Unfortunately, we have turned to methods of trying to satisfy which are not the healthiest or most recommended. Man has embraced drugs and alcohol to find satisfaction.
The pleasure of either is temporal. Neither offer a lasting effect. The effects of drugs and alcohol only last until the stimulant has been cleansed from the body. The amounts of drugs and alcohol required to stimulate the body are anything but healthy. Prescribed medications meant for healing leave lasting health concerns and they are regulated. Recreational street drugs are even more destructive. Stimulants are a progressive track to death. A user requires more and more to reach that high they experienced with that first use.
How many people have been killed as a result of drugs and alcohol. Rock stars dying from overdoses in their own vomit in hotels alone. This does not say glamorous life to me. I have found true satisfaction in Jesus as I live the Xtreme life. I never heard anyone dying from cirrhosis saying I wish I had drank more. Nor do I believe the drug user dying from an overdose desires just one more pill.
Headlines have been slammed with opioid abuse and deaths. People seeking satisfaction not death. “I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction 'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try I can't get no, I can't get no!” A popular song from days gone by. If you read the lyrics of this song, it rejects the message of satisfaction being delivered by radio and TV evangelism. Man has a void that can only be filled by Jesus Christ. Jesus will only fill that void if you invite him. True satisfaction is only found in Jesus.
God created man, enjoying fellowship together in the garden. Man sinned destroying that relationship. God cannot associate with sin. God then sent his only son to repair that relationship. Jesus provided atonement for sin bridging the gap that man might once again have communion with God. Drugs and alcohol are temporary, Jesus is a permanent eternal fix.
These stimulants blur the world, when it comes back into focus our troubles and challenges remain to be dealt with. In many cases they have worsened and they never go away. Stimulants are not only unhealthy, stimulants numb our reasoning and reactions placing those we love in danger as well as those we associate.
You can chose a temporal fix or you can chose the permanent fix. I write this not in condemnation but to reveal an option, Jesus Christ. With Jesus you will not endanger yourself or others. You will also benefit through a new fellowship with God which also provide an eternal reward. HOW TO GET SATISFACTION <<CLICK HERE>>
