34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the world. No, I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 I came to set sons against their fathers, daughters against their mothers, daughters-in-law against their mothers-in-law; 36 your worst enemies will be the members of your own family.

37 “Those who love their father or mother more than me are not fit to be my disciples; those who love their son or daughter more than me are not fit to be my disciples. 38 Those who do not take up their cross and follow in my steps are not fit to be my disciples. 39 Those who try to gain their own life will lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will gain it. Matthew 10: 34-39 GNT

Jesus must be first in all we do. When you lose your life, you will gain it. Jesus promise to give back more that you give. I am not going off on a prosperity rant. When we lose our life giving up everything to follow him, he gives so much more in return. When calling the disciples, they stopped what they were doing left all behind and followed him.

This is what Jesus is saying die to self, lose all that you have for his sake and he will bless you tremendously. 29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” Mark 10:29-31 GNT

Jesus often used exaggeration to illustrate his point. I believe he is capable of returning 100-fold that which was sacrificed. Who among us would not be satisfied just getting back what we give. When we are faithful to God he will be faithful to us. 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:25-34 GNT

For this reason, I compel each reader to be a loser, a loser for Christ. Follow his ways giving up your own ways, seek the things he would seek, and let his heart be your heart. The things of this world are temporal and in time will rust and decay. Place your trust n Jesus laying up treasures in heaven. This world has nothing to offer us that is better than what Christ gave to us.

What can I give if have nothing? Give your life. Make every moment of your life count for Jesus. Continuously follow his teachings loving all and ministering to the weak along the way. Jesus said, Go and Preach the Gospel to ALL!
