TRAPPED

Life for many is a struggle. Just to get up and face each day seems an impossible task. You may have made destructive choices that have placed you in an unyielding trap. Evil, sin, and wickedness seem to have overtaken the world. People are oppressed and persecuted at every turn. In such cases it is easy to place blame on others for your situation.
Know this that Satan has been relentless attacking the weak, 1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. The New Living Translation uses “Stay Alert” others use “Be Sober” when we are under the influence we open ourselves up to evil.
Satan has attempted to stablish strongholds convincing people they have no hope. This is another of his lies. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 [a]We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. 6 And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.
There is a spiritual battle ongoing for your soul. Satan tries to establish obstacles in your life that will keep you from God. He may deceive you into making decisions or enter relationships that make you feel like a failure if you end them. You must ask, what is more valuable keeping face with people or saving your soul from hell?
There is no situation that condemns you to hell. While you have breathe you have hope. Ecclesiastes 9:4 Anyone who is among the living has hope—even a live dog is better off than a dead lion. The prodigal son found himself eating with pigs after living the highlife. He had all kinds of friends as long as he had money. When the money ran out his friends ran out faster. Ironically, his Father remained or him. The Father ran to meet him and welcome him home. Unconditional love. He did not encounter prejudgment or a set of rules to follow if he returned nor did he have to promise never to leave again. The Father put a ring on his finger and celebrated his return with a feast proclaiming his son has returned.
Your life is not hopeless. You have not crossed a line of no return. There is one who will never leave you nor forsake you. He waits for you anticipating your return. Like the prodigal’s father, he awaits ready to embrace you one the road. The book of James states, “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” All who call on Jesus will be saved. Call out to him today with a desire to draw near to God and you will be met in the midst of your challenges. Remember Satan is a deceiver and a liar, He will make you feel like there is no hope where hope abounds. If you are breathing you have hope in Jesus Christ.
Do not allow your pride or people keep you from the feast that God has for those who embrace him. He is waiting to come running to your rescue. Are you ready to call out for help? Call out now as tomorrow may be too late. You do not have to be in a church or with a priest. Jesus is waiting with his ear tuned in for your specific cry for help. The approval of the world will mean nothing on the day of judgment when you find yourself before God. He will be looking for one thing, “Did this individual seek the forgiveness of my son Jesus? Were they washed in his blood?”
