Naked and Afraid

When Adam and eve ate of the forbidden fruit they immediately became aware of their disobedience and human condition. When God came to visit them in the garden, they hid from him. When he called out they replied, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
This act has cast a curse on all of humanity. All man has been cursed with death. The world has been cursed with death and destruction. What was once good and perfect had become evil and corrupted. The act of eating the forbidden fruit was performed out of pure selfishness.
Selfishness is the root of all sin. Selfishness is human nature. Man has always acted on self-preservation and hedonistic motives. Without Jesus and the working of the Holy spirit our humanity drives us towards selfishness and sin. Scripture tells us that if we fail to believe in Jesus we are condemned already.
If you have not proclaimed your belief in Jesus Christ and called on his glorious name you are condemned. There are not enough righteous acts you could perform to work your way into heaven. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the father but by me.” Jesus is the only answer to man’s sinful human nature.
When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. “Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.” Many will attempt to identify your sin, yet scripture says death spread to everyone due to Adam’s sin. Essentially, you could live a sinless life and experience death due to Adam’s indiscretion.
“But” you have to love the word “but” it offers another option. There is more to this story, “But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.” Where Adam’s indiscretion brought death, the sacrificial act of Jesus brings life.
Rest assured without proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and placing your belief in him you will surely be cast into the lake of fire which is the second death. However, if you proclaim Jesus as Lord and believe in him you will escape this second death being promoted to eternal glory.
Know that scripture prophesied the coming of Jesus 700 years prior to his birth. The Old Testament, written hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth, contains over 300 prophecies that Jesus fulfilled through His life, death and resurrection. Mathematically speaking, the odds of anyone fulfilling this amount of prophecy are staggering. Mathematicians put it this way: 1 person fulfilling 8 prophecies: 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 1 person fulfilling 48 prophecies: 1 chance in 10 to the 157th power 1 person fulfilling 300+ prophecies: Only Jesus! http://www1.cbn.com/biblestudy/biblical-prophecies-fulfilled-by-jesus
These statistics are staggering. One must recognize that the life of Jesus Christ is one of the most significant events in history. How can you explain one poor insignificant individual ministering for 3 years developing a cause that has grown century after century ever since it started? All of his disciples died torturous deaths and not one denied Jesus.
You can laugh and scoff at these claims, however, if I live my life serving Jesus and when I die it was just a rouse who was hurt? If you live our life denying Jesus and you die and his teachings were true, who is hurt? You will most assuredly burn in hell. Trust and believe Jesus today securing your eternal destiny.
